I started marathon training in June (6 months before the race). Each week my mileage went up and I was struggling by month 2. My runs felt weak, I was exhausted, and absolutely starving. I was struggling with my nutrition, gaining weight, and it was affecting my training. I posted asking for help on Facebook and Tyler replied to my post referring Ashley.
Ashley reached out to me within that same week and we had a phone consultation. We instantly connected and I felt so motivated and supported. She started me off with small goals and then as we progressed with check ins we started focusing on macros. She completely changed my relationship with food.
She taught me how to properly fuel my body. My runs began to feel amazing and I felt strong. I was hitting new personal records and I wasn’t exhausted. I turned a complete 180 in my training. Not only did Ashley get me ready for my marathon, but she cheered for me on race day. Texting me throughout and hyping me up all the way to the finish line. It was an experience I’ll never forget. Not only did I complete my first marathon, change my relationship with carbs, but I also made a good friend in the process.
